Antique Georgian Citrine riviere necklace, sterling silver

An antique Riviere necklace is certainly a wonderful addition to any antique jewellery collection and this wonderful early 19th century citrine example is no exception!

She is made from sterling silver set with pretty graduated citrine stones, each citrine has the most wonderful hand faceted cut with a beautiful twinkle and creating an amazing dispersion of light.

You will really feel like a queen with this necklace and it is guaranteed to add a touch of glam to any ensemble.

The citrine are oval cut claw and bezel set into sterling silver and it fastens with a hook fastener.

A truly beautiful and regal necklace this is one that you will reach for again and again.

There is plenty of gemstone in this pretty piece, the average size citrine coming in at around 12 x 9 mm, 24 individual stones in total with a nice estimated gemstone weight of around 48 to 50ct and that is a conservative estimate due to the differences in size and shape of the hand cut stones.

Unmarked, tests as sterling silver, c1800s - 1810s, Georgian era.

Condition:
Good used condition overall, some light surface wear and patina commensurate with age, a few stones with nibbles to the cutlets and light surface wear.
