A beautiful antique Georgian mourning ring in 9ct gold.
A large rectangular split pearl halo encompasses a clear crystal compartment to the front for enclosing a loved ones hair.
The pearls are different shapes and sizes, some with a Baroque look to them and this really adds to this rings old world charm.
It has a bevelled gold band with decorative split shoulders.
The hair compartment is currently empty.
The ring has a closed back setting.
Unmarked, tests as 9ct gold, Georgian era, early 19th century.
Condition:
Fair used condition overall, some age commensurate surface wear, some wear / thinning to the back of the band and evidence of resizing visible, some pearls with weer.
