There is so much love and sentiment in this antique 9ct gold double sided locket pendant.
A Circular shaped locket with two glazed compartment sides, one containing a beautiful hand coloured portrait picture of a gentleman and the other containing a lock of light coloured hair on a black silk ground, secured with a row of tiny seed pearls.
What makes this locket really stand out is the pretty openwork top design in 9ct gold, set with vibrant turquoise and creamy seed pearl.
It has a small gold jump ring attached, ready to be hung from your favourite antique gold chain or would also look great on a ribbon necklace.
Marks and era:
Edwardian era, stamped 9ct, c1900s
Condition:
Fair used condition overall, some light surface wear commensurate with age and use, glazing is replaced and is a safety perspex type glazing.
Approx measurements:
1.75" length with bale
1.25" width
Weight approx 6.89 grams.
