A stunning antique Victorian 9ct gold Regard locket.
This is a really very beautiful example of a Regard locket, heavily engraved 9ct gold with a floral engraved design to the reverse and an enamelled design to the front.
The enamelling features bright sprays of flowers on a light coloured ground, to the centre there is an engraved gold Cross emblazoned with the word Regard across the centre in enamel
There is a deep cobalt blue border surrounding the main floral enamelling.
There are two glazed compartments inside with a black silk backing.
It is unmarked, tests as 9ct gold.
A truly beautiful antique locket, Victorian era c1880s.
Condition:
Good used condition overall with light signs of age and use, no dings or dents, small area of blue enamel missing and a chip to the enamel of the floral panel.
Approx measurements:
1.6" length with bale
1.2" width
12.83 grams weight
