A beautiful antique Victorian Ruby, Diamond and pearl double row ring.
This is a fancy take on a half hoop and is an absolute stunner, the top row is filled with seven gorgeous pinky red rubies, the lower half is set with three crisp sparkling diamonds intercepted with tiny seed pearl.
It has a decorative split shank with two rows of rich gold which gives the illusion of two rings.
One of the most lovely features of this ring is that it comes not only with it's full set of Victorian hallmarks but also with a Victorian diamond registration mark and this is a very desirable feature on period jewellery.
The ring is fully hallmarked for 15ct gold, Birmingham 1873
Diamonds have a great clarity and colour with lots of sparkle when catching the light, the seed pearls are dulled with heavy nacre loss.
Condition:
Good used condition overall, minor surface wear, commensurate with age, pearls with wear.
