This Art Deco era Synthetic Ruby and Rose cut diamond cluster ring is a real beauty.
The ring features a vibrant cushion cut synthetic ruby, the ruby has a smooth polished table almost like a flat cabochon and this gives a lovely glossy shine, it is faceted to the back and claw set with yellow gold prongs.
Surrounding the centre stone is a lovely halo of twinkling rose cut diamonds set into cool sterling silver, giving a precious sparkle in low lights.
It has a slender 18ct yellow gold band with tapering shoulders.
The ruby is a lab grown ruby and this is what we are referring to when we say synthetic.
Marks and era:
Art Deco era, c1910s, unmarked electronically tests as 18ct gold and sterling silver.
Condition:
Good used condition overall, minor surface wear, commensurate with age, some light thinning to the back of the band.
Ring face Approx 13.5mm length and 1mm band width.
