Worn usually around the neck on a ribbon or chain for ease of use, these beautiful decorative pieces really were a functional piece of jewellery.
This quizzing glass has a heavily chased 9ct gold frame and loop handle with floral detailing, the glass is clear and magnified for studying things up close.
It is unmarked, tests as 9ct gold, English make c1800s, late Georgian era.
Perfect for adding to your favourite antique chain or neck mess or wearing with a nice plain black ribbon.
Worn by both men and women of the period.
Condition:
Very good used condition overall, some light surface wear commensurate with age, very light marks to the lense.
