You can't go wrong with a beautiful antique seal fob, this sweet antique, Georgian era, gold cased seal fob is a real versatile beauty.
Made from rich 9ct yellow gold cased metal, it is has an elaborate engraved and chased design with floral detailing and an integral top bale, perfect for hanging from your favourite necklace or Albert chain.
The base is set with a rich red Carnelian stone, engraved with the motto of our Quills Unite Us and with an image of two feather Quills crossed.
This is such a lovely elaborate example with such symbolic meaning, very nicely designed with lots of fine detailing.
Marks and era:
Unmarked, early 19th century, c1810s, Georgian era, tests as 9ct gold but will be gold cased.
Condition:
Good used condition overall, signs of use and wear commensurate with age, light wear, well kept.
Approx measurements:
0.95" height / length
0.55" width at the base
