We can't get enough of this charming and alluring Georgian gold seal fob and split ring pendant.
I'm sure you will agree that there is just a certain type of magic that exudes from Georgian pieces, the rich materials, impeccable craftsmanship and design, the history, the age!
This beautiful piece is no exception, rich 9ct gold casing solid bronze with a heavily chased and engraved design, the seal is a circular shape and features plumes of feathers upholding the rounded base.
It is set with a White chalcedony that has been engraved with initials in gothic script PS but could be utilised as a bs.
The split ring is heavily engraved and works beautifully as a bale with this charming seal fob.
This is perfect worn as a pendant or for hanging from your favourite Albert chain.
Shown in the image on an antique gold long chain necklace, this is not included but we do have chains available to purchase separately in the shop.
Marks and era:
Unmarked, early 19th century, c1800's, tests as 9ct gold though likely with a bronze core as was usual.
Condition:
Good used condition overall, signs of use and wear commensurate with age, light wear to the engraving on the split ring
Approx measurements:
1.5" height / length with split ring
0.50" width at the base
0.90" width of the split ring
