Antique Moonstone trefoil pendant, trace chain necklace, 9ct gold

This mystical and magical antique moonstone pendant necklace is sure to impress.

Moonstone is such a coveted gemstone in antique jewellery, always adding a little mysticism and magic allure, with it's cool blue shimmer this pendant really stands out from the crowd.

The trefoil was a popular symbol in jewellery and has it's roots back to the holy trinity, Latin translation is literally 3 leaves just like the shamrock was thought to have helped teach Christianity, it is associated with balance and oneness with a nature connection too.

It was a very popular symbol in Victorian jewellery and the Victorian's couldn't get enough at one point.

The pendant is made up from three moonstone cabochons, set into rich 9ct yellow gold claw settings, one round to the top with a further two moonstone below.

It is currently housed on a later vintage trace chain in 9ct yellow gold but it could easily be swapped out onto your favourite antique chain or necklace.

A beautiful piece and this would make a wonderful gift.

It is marked on the clasp 9ct, pendant is Victorian era, C1900 pendant unmarked, electronically tests as 9ct gold

Condition:
Good used condition overall, some light surface wear commensurate with age, very light wear to the stones
