An attractive and large antique early Edwardian sterling silver, glass and leather hip flask.
It has a sterling silver bayonet screw cap with the original inner cork, fully hallmarked, the body is made from glass and it has the original sterling silver beaker base.
The beaker bottom can be removed to pour the contents into and drink from.
The top half of the glass body is covered rustic brown leather cover, it has a lot of wear with a small amount of cracking / shrinkage.
The flask is fully hallmarked on the cap and on the beaker, the beaker has intials MH in fancy engraved script.
Fully Hallmarked for Sheffield 1902, James Dixon and Sons Ltd.
A gorgeous rustic antique hip flask of a good size.
Appears to holds liquid without leaking, it is advisable to keep the Cork moist to retain a good seal.
Condition:
Good used condition overall, signs of use commensurate with age, a little wear to the inner Cork, leather cover has cracking and shrinking, some light surface scratches to the silver.
