A beautiful and rare antique rosary ring for your collection.
This is an early Victorian rosary ring crafted in lush pinky toned rose gold with a slightly domed band with beading for the rosary and to the front an applied gold oval shield featuring a repousse cross decorated with light blue enamel.
This ring is crafted in 9ct gold and bears hallmarks for 1852, two years before the standardisation of 9ct in gold hallmarking so this poses as an interesting piece of jewellery history too!
It has a lovely aged patina and the rose gold has a very light pinky glow to it.
A charming antique piece.
Marks and era:
Fully hallmarked for 9ct gold, Birmingham assay office, 1852, early Victorian era
UK/AU ring size T½
US ring size 10
EU / MM ring size 62.33
Condition:
Good used condition overall, light surface wear commensurate with age, some loss of the blue enamel to the cross
Ring face Approx 10.4mm length and band 3.1mm
Total weight: 3.25g.
