A fantastic antique Victorian era sterling silver fox and horseshoe locket.
I love finding original antique fox pieces and I know you do too! They are always so very popular and this little chap is just adorable.
It is a very small sized locket but chunky with the applied horseshoe surrounding the little fox head.
The locket does not snap shut so could be prone to coming open though it does stay closed when handling.
This is perfect for adding to your favourite long chain or necklace, could be worn with other little lockets or pendants for a stacked look.
Marks and era:
Victorian era, fully hallmarked for sterling silver, Birmingham Assay office 1889, maker John Culver
Condition:
Good used condition overall, some age commensurate wear and signs of use, light surface wear, heavy aged patina but could be polished up to a high shine if desired, does not 'snap' closed.
Approx measurements:
0.60" width
0.90" length
Weighs approx 3.35 grams
