A gorgeous antique, Victorian sterling silver handled magnifying glass.
It has a decorative wrythen type pattern handle with a small scrolling cartouche decoration to the bottom on one side, the handle is hollow.
It has a large heavy glass and the glass frame is silver plated.
The magnifying glass is fully hallmarked at the top of the handle, London, 1894, John Newton Mappin (Mappin and Webb).
Condition:
Good used condition overall, it has a small dent on one side of the glass frame, light patina and surface wear commensurate with age.
Approx measurements:
8.5" length
1.25 handle width
3.5" lense width
