An exceptional continental vintage, Art Deco ladies silver and enamel manicure etui and combination card case.
This is really a beautifully made piece, guilloche enamel with a very fine romantic scene to the front with the reverse in a vivid pink guilloche.
The sides of the case are finely engraved and the interior is gilt lined.
Internally it has four individually marked silver gilt manicure tools, all original to the case, one missing to make five.
It has an integral hinged calling card holder in silver gilt, also engraved.
The case is fully hallmarked for sterling silver, Birmingham import, 1927, maker ML.
A beautiful piece, very fine enamelling, quality silver this would make a fantastic gift.
Condition:
Very Good used condition overall with age commensurate wear and tear, two small nicks to the enamel front image top and bottom corners, one tool missing.
Approx measurements:
3.25" length,
1.75" width
0.5" depth (closed)
Approx 107 grams weight.
