A gorgeous vintage c1920's Italian silver travelling lipstick compact.
Heavily chased 800 silver in an Art Nouveau style.
The compact is set with a turquoise coloured stone cabochon and this is used to push the lipstick in the holder.
When the lipstick is drawn out of the compact there is a little mirror on a spring mechanism that automatically opens.
A lovely little piece, marked inside 800, Italian make, c1920's.
Condition :
Very good condition overall, light overall patina, signs of use and wear, mirror is good, nice and clear, minor surface wear commensurate with age.
Approx measurements (closed) : 0.75" length, 2.25" width and 0.75" height, weighs 40.32 grams.
