A gorgeous vintage garnet dress ring.
If you were looking for a cluster ring with oomph then this is your girl!
To the centre there is a large, faceted oval cut garnet, rich, warm red, approximately 1.98 carat weight, the centre garnet is further surrounded by a halo of table cut garnets and on the outer edge there are further garnet points giving this ring a huge amount of gemstone in one piece.
The garnets are arranged in an almost floral pattern.
It has a smooth 9ct gold band tapering from the shoulders.
This is a ring you know you are wearing.
Fully hallmarked for London assay office, 9ct gold, 1964, maker Fred Manshaw.
Condition:
Good used condition overall, minor surface wear, commensurate with age, small nibbles to some facets, the shoulders seem to be set ever so slightly unevenly, it was made like this though and cannot be felt or noticed when worn.
