There is so much love and sentiment in this antique 9ct gold double sided locket pendant.
A Circular shaped locket with two glazed compartment sides, one containing a portrait picture of a gentleman and the other containing a lock of light coloured hair on a black silk ground.
What makes this locket really stand out is the beautiful ribbon bow top design in 9ct bloomed gold, really finishing this off nicely.
It has a small gold bale with a 9ct gold jump ring attached, ready to be hung from your favourite antique gold chain or would also look great on a ribbon necklace.
Marks and era:
Edwardian era, fully hallmarked for 9ct gold, Chester Assay office, Maker William John Pellow, 1904.
Condition:
Fair used condition overall, some light surface wear commensurate with age and use, some tiny dings and surface marks to the gold rim and near the top of the bale, portrait picture seems to have some wear and foxing.
Approx measurements:
1.40" length with bale
0.95" width
Weight approx 4.81 grams.
