A rich and regal antique 9ct gold seal fob pendant is always a delight to find.

This seal fob pendant is crafted in hallmarked solid 9ct gold with a rich bloomed finish, earlier hallmarked fobs are always harder to find and a real treat when we do.

This one is no exception, elaborately designed as the prince of Wales feathers, three ostrich feathers pluming from a coronet, traditionally each feather is said to represent one of three virtues of truth, loyalty and courage.

This was very possibly a Royal presentation gift, there is some engraving to the top but this is possibly makers marks, the fob is fully hallmarked at the lower half too.

Edward VII, later King Edward was Prince of Wales at the time of this pieces creation and he was well known for his gifting and philanthropy at the time, through his fundraising and charitable efforts.

It is set with a slim oval shaped Carnelian to the base, this has not been carved so could be personalised if desired.

A very fine and versatile piece, perfect for adding to an antique gold chain as a pendant or your favourite antique Albert chain as a watch fob.
