An attractive and unusual antique sterling silver oak leaf and acorn brooch.

A heavy sterling silver oak tree branch with oak leaves and an acorn, two leaves are enamelled with a rich green guilloche enamel.

The remaining leaves and base of the acorn are adorned with antique white or 'diamond' paste stones giving plenty of sparkle and shine and the acorn is a simulated pearl.

Acorns are revered for being a good luck charm, promoting growth, prosperity, potential, the acorn shows us how a tiny acorn can grow into a huge oak tree.

The oak itself is considered a symbol of wisdom, strength and knowledge so this brooch is stacked full of symbolism and meaning.

The brooch is marked Sterl S tests as sterling silver, c1900s, Edwardian era.

It has an old C type clasp and an attached safety chain.

Shown in a box for reference, does not come with the box.

Approx measurements:
1.25" width
1.25" height

Weighs approx 10.92 grams

Fair used condition overall, signs of use and wear commensurate with age, some glue residue near the pearl, a tiny loss of enamel on one leaf, lots of dark aged patina.
