This impeccable antique, Edwardian era
9ct gold and Carnelian signet ring has everything you could wish for in a signet ring!

It has a shield shaped face set with a rich orangey red Carnelian stone, this has not been carved so could be personalised if desired, the stone is nice and chunky, sitting slightly proud of the setting.

It has chunky raised and gadrooned shoulders leading on to the smooth and rich 9ct yellow gold band.

There is simply nothing to displease about this handsome antique signed ring and you won't be disappointed if you decide to make him yours!

Signet rings derive their name from the Latin for signature, they were popular throughout history in men's jewellery and were often carved with family crests or signatures and used as stamps or intaglios, later they remained popular as a fashion choice and they have remained a popular piece of mens jewellery since their creation.

Marks and era:
Edwardian era, c1900s, stamped 9ct gold and J.H.W makers mark, possibly for John Henry Wynn.

Good used condition overall, some light surface wear commensurate with age and use
