This Sweet antique crescent and shamrock brooch is so amazingly beautiful.
A scarce and unusual piece it is a delicate and dainty piece with a beautiful yet bold design.
The brooch is crafted in rich 15ct yellow gold with a pretty pearl set crescent moon encompassing a single three leaved shamrock or clover.
The Shamrock has heart shaped leaves finely decorated with a juicy cherry red translucent enamel, really making the colours pop.
It is a three leaved clover, these were known for representing the holy trinity.
The brooch fastens with an old c type clasp and pin fastener.
Such a beautiful and unusual design, can be worn in so many ways.
Marks and era:
Unmarked, Tests as 15ct gold, some jewelers marks to the reverse, late 19th century, Victorian era.

Good used condition overall, signs of use and wear commensurate with age, some light surface wear, tiny enamel loss to one area, one tiny pearl missing from the end very hard to notice.
