An attractive antique, Edwardian era 18ct gold signet ring.

It has a lovely rich old gold tone, a shield shaped ring face with no current monogram or engraving so could be personalised.

Perfect as a gift or a treat for yourself, it makes a great pinky ring.

The ring is marked for 18ct gold on the reverse of the outer band, sponsor Mark present, the marks are partially worn but still visible, tests as 18ct, Continental make, c1900s.

Signet rings derive their name from the Latin for signature, they were popular throughout history in men's jewellery and were often carved with family crests or signatures and used as stamps or intaglios, later they remained popular as a fashion choice and they have remained a popular piece of mens jewellery since their creation.

Condition:
Good used condition overall, some surface wear and scratches, commensurate with age.
