A rare find, this beautiful choker is made from rich and vibrant purple velvet with a short pile, the choker is decorated with amethyst paste stones.
The stones have an oval cut and are set onto pretty gilt metal sliders with delicate scroll work in an Art Nouveau feel design.
The choker fastens with a concealed hook fastener.
A decadent and rich beauty, hard to believe that it was made and worn so long ago yet remains so relevant in today's jewellery styles.
English make, c1900s, Edwardian era.
