A stunning antique French sword or dagger brooch.
Set in silver this brooch has a beautiful design with a scrolling handle and twinkling gem set blade.
It is filled with pretty rhodolite garnets, all round apart from the Garnet to the top of the blade which is a cushion cut stone.
The hilt is decorated with garnet, seed pearl and paste and the tip is set with seed pearl.
The pin has an attached silver safety chain and fastens with an old C type clasp and pin fastener.
It is marked 900 for silver, late 19th century, French make.
This could be worn many ways, as a lapel or cravat pin or as a brooch.
Condition:
Fair used condition overall, signs of use and wear, some aged patina, garnets have surface wear and nibbles and some movement within the setting, pin slightly loose when fastened, the two lower most seed pearls are damaged.

0.5" width at the widest point
