A stunning antique French jewellery casket.
19th century, it is made from ormolu otherwise known as gilt bronze and has gorgeous faceted cut glass sides and lid.
The Jewellery box has a tufted silk base internally and stands elevated on four feet.
It is beautifully decorated with flora, scrolls and horns and fastens with a small scrolled lip.
Large enough to hold a few small items, your favourite antique bangle would look pride of place in this beauty.
Late 19th century, Art Nouveau era, French make.
Condition:
Good used condition overall, signs of use and wear commensurate with age, a little wear in the corners to the tufted silk, loss to most of the gilding, surface wear and a few tiny nicks to the glass panelled sides, commensurate with age and use.
