Rich, smooth and glossy, inky black onyx contrasts wonderfully with the rich 18ct yellow gold.
It has chunky onyx panels front and back with a decorative gold monogram to the front, the frame is made from 18ct yellow gold.
Within the locket there is a glazed panel with a loving floral Hairwork display mounted on cream wax with the words Remember in black ink.

19th Century, French made for the export market, Weevil mark and makers mark to the loop near the bale.
Condition:
Good used condition overall with signs of age and use, light surface wear commensurate with age, two small chips to the onyx, bale with a dent.
