A beautiful antique French Belle Epoque era paste pendant.

It is crafted in 900 silver and set with an array of twinkling old cut clear paste stones.

The pendant has a pretty filigree design to the front the centre highlighting the main centre paste stone, this has a halo of paste stones and the outer rim is set with gorgeous sparkling paste too making this a real sparkler.

It has a closed back in a lightly brushed finish and it has an integral paste set bale.

Paste stones are made from a type of Flint glass and cut like gemstones and often placed in foiled or closed back settings, it is now highly collectable and was used commercially in the 18th century as an alternative to diamonds but was invented and used before this time.

This would make for a fantastic gift for someone special or as a treat for yourself.
