A stunning pair of antique French silver gilt lorgnettes.

Art Nouveau era, they are hallmarked for the renowned French silversmith Pierre - Jacques Meurice.

A beautifully designed pair with a textured handle with a scrolling ribbon design and a small blank cartouche that could be engraved with initials if desired.

They are folding spectacles with oval lenses which are opened with a small push clasp at the side.

Worn, usually around the neck on a ribbon or chain for ease of use, these beautiful decorative pieces really were a functional piece of jewellery.

Perfect for adding to your favourite antique chain or neck mess or wearing with a nice plain black ribbon.

Worn by both men and women at the time, these would make an impeccable gift.
