A gorgeous antique, Art Nouveau era Shamrock and Crescent pendant.

A curved crescent moon adorned with speed pearls, within which is housed a garnet set three leaved shamrock, the garnets are a rich deep red, faceted pear cut and the stone combination works so well together.

It has an integral pearl set bale.

This beautifully designed pendant brings together two symbols in one piece.

The crescent, an ever popular symbol, representing feminist empowerment, change and spirituality amongst a few.

The shamrock is usually considered to be a good luck charm when there are four leaves, this has three though and three leaves represent St Patrick and his teachings of the Holy Trinity.

Therefore the three leaf shamrock or clover represents the Holy Trinity, The father, the son and the Holy spirit.

It is marked on the reverse 9ct, Art Nouveau era, C1900s

This used to be a pendant / brooch but the brooch fitting has been removed.

Condition:
Good used condition overall, some light surface wear commensurate with age, minor surface wear
