Antique Georgian mourning brooch, 9ct gold, hairwork and paste

An absolutely stunning little Georgian mourning brooch or lace pin.

This little sweetheart has so much delicate detailing, it has a lock of finely plaited light brown hair underneath the central glazed panel.

The hairwork panel is framed with an engraved 9ct gold border and there is a halo of bright white sparkling diamond paste stones around the outer edge.

The pin is made from 9ct gold and has an old c type fastener.

A very pretty little pin.

Unmarked, English make c1800s, tests as 9ct gold.

Condition:
Good used condition overall, some small marks under the glass one side, some tarnish to the reverse, slight crack in the pin itself but still strong.
