A very beautiful antique, early 19th century, Georgian mourning Cross pendant.
It is designed as a cross made up from tightly woven dark brown hair, the cross has textured, bloomed yellow gold caps at each end, designed with a beaded finial.
The pendant has a small oval panel set to the front in Rose gold with initials in fancy script.
The jump ring to the top is also Rose gold.
The cross used to be a brooch pendant but no longer has a pin, the old fasteners can be seen on the reverse.
Early 19th century, English make, tests as 9ct gold.

Weighs approx 8 grams
Condition:
Good used condition overall, some wear commensurate with age, the hair is showing some wear and fraying to the top of the cross near the pendant fitting, brooch fitting is no longer present.
