A charming antique Georgian Amethyst paste and hairwork mourning ring.
A beautiful Georgian piece in a nice design.
Engraved to the back of the face with the initials JER.
The face has a halo of deep purple 'Amethyst' paste stones framing the central glazed hairwork panel.
The band and shoulders are very chunky as is the ring overall, it is very well made, English make, late 18th / early 19th century.
It is Unmarked tests as 9ct gold.

Condition:
Fair used condition overall, some age commensurate surface wear and signs of use, evidence of a previous resize visible to the back of the band, the glazed panel to the front has heavy wear and scratches, some dulling and nibbles to the paste.
