A beautiful antique Georgian floral spray brooch.

It is a large sized piece, suitable for securing a cloak or large shawl.

It has a floral openwork design with elements of the Iberian style and the early Giardinetti pieces, crafted in 800 silver it is set with a plethora of rose cut paste stones, some of the stones foiled and giving a soft green hue.

The centre paste stone is mounted in a 9ct gold bezel frame.

It closes with an old C type clasp and pin fastener.

Unmarked, Georgian era, c1780s, tests as 800 silver.

A fine and magnificent piece of 18th century early Georgian jewellery, a beautiful heirloom to enjoy for many years to come.

Condition:
Good used condition overall, some light surface wear and overall dark patina, some surface wear and scratches to the facet edges of the paste, surface wear and file marks to the reverse.

1.50" length
2.25" width
