Antique Mourning heart padlock pendant, Agate and Hairwork, 9ct gold

This is just the sweetest little antique 9ct gold heart shaped padlock, locket pendant.

Victorian era it has an elaborately engraved body with one side set a brown mossy agate heart and the other side featuring a glazed locket compartment enclosing a lock of woven brown hair.

It is a beautiful sentimental mourning piece, originally it would have opened and closed but it has been soldered closed some time ago, making a perfect dainty pendant or larger bracelet charm.

Marks and era:
Victorian era C1880s, unmarked tests as 9ct gold

Condition:
Fair used condition overall, some light surface wear commensurate with age and use, some signs of soft solder to the top of the clasp.

0.80" length
0.55" width
