It has a shield shaped face with an engraved monogram of initials in heavy gothic script, appears to be IMD, each letter has a different style of engraving.

It has full hallmarks to the inner band and short hallmarks to the back of the face, fully hallmarked for 9ct gold, Birmingham assay office, 1814.

This is a beautiful early signet.
