A stunning and fine antique sterling silver and blue guilloche enamel fob watch, with applied gold detailing.
The watch is a top wind which us set into a large sterling silver and marcasite pendant and suspended on a long sterling silver chain.
The pendant is marked 925 on the reverse and Dido which is the makers mark, these were in vogue from the turn of the century to the 1920's and had their roots in the Art Nouveau and Art Deco movements.
The movement is Swiss made.
The chain is thick and substantial, marked with the lion passant on the fastener, the other marks are worn.
This is a mid 1910's piece ad influenced by both the Nouveau and Deco styles.
The guilloche is in very nice condition, very high quality as is the whole piece, small dent on the pendant and 3 missing marcasite which is only noticeable up close.
Chain and pendant have lots of natural aged patina, can be polished prior to dispatch upon buyer request.
The watch is ticking but will require a service as the top wind is very stiff and has possibly been overwound, so will need to be seen to get it fully working but definitely worth it for such a fine piece.
Approx 1" width of the watch, 2" height with pendant, chain is 26" length.
Overall weight approx 46.8g
