A beautiful curved moon with a pastry cutter texture with an almost star like pattern by a renowned maker of the era and beyond.

The brooch is made from sterling silver and is fully hallmarked.

Crescent moons were a popular motif in Victorian and later Edwardian jewellery, they are attributed to a number of meanings from feminine strength to changes or new chapters.

It has an old C type clasp and pin fastener.
