A magnificent antique, Victorian era scent bottle.

This is a beautifully crafted piece and would have been an expensive option for the period.

It has a stunning bulbous cut glass body with intricate designs that reflect the light in each cut, the glass is heavy and substantial with a star cut base, all hand carved.

It has a pretty sterling silver lid with an unusual push closure, the lid is designed in relief with a religious scene to the top of the cap, inside it is gilt lined and has the original glass stopper.

A fine addition to the collection.

Fully hallmarked for London, 1889,maker Stuart Clifford.

Condition:
Good used condition overall, the cap and stopper are in nice condition and the gilt is bright, some residual marks inside to the base, the facet edges of the cut glass show some tiny chips and scratches but this is hard to notice unless inspecting very closely due to the cut.

Approx measurements:
5" height,
13" circumference at the widest point.
