This stunning Victorian diamond pendant is truly a showstopper!
This beautifully crafted piece is both elegant and statement at the same time, the pendant has a beautiful openwork design giving it a lovely feminine vibe and is set with over 3.10ct of old cut and single cut diamonds which certainly set this apart from the rest.
There is truly sparkle at every angle of this piece from the large central diamond to the tiny diamond chips, one of my favourite things about this piece is the way the mixed cuts and number of diamonds provide such an alluring shimmer!
The pendant is designed as a bunch of grapes and this traditionally symbolises amongst other things fertility and affluence or abundance, it also has a floral motif to the centre.
The grape vine and grapes themselves have been used in jewellery for many years with roots in Greek and Roman mythology.
The grape leaf was also a common symbol seen in the Christian religion.
Diamonds are estimated H-I colour and SI clarity and are well matched.
It has a later added secure brooch fastener so is a versatile piece too and can be worn as both a brooch and a pendant.
This is truly a magnificent piece and the craftsmanship really shows, it would make a very special gift for someone or an amazing treat for yourself, looks great hung on an antique long chain, this is a piece to treasure for many years to come and you will not be disappointed.

It is unmarked, tests as 9ct gold with a silver front, Victorian era, c1880s
