A gorgeous antique, late Victorian era mourning ring.
This is an initial ring with an applied gold monogram of the initials NS, set on a rich black onyx panel with cut corners.
The ring has a knife edge shank and a slim 9ct yellow gold band.
This is an unusual version of this ring with two initials, usually these are found with just one.
This style was popular towards the end of the 19th century and through the Edwardian era.
It is marked 9ct on the inner band.
Late Victorian era, English make.
Condition:
Good used condition overall, light surface wear / scratches commensurate with age and use, band has some thinning and evidence of a previous resize.
