An interesting antique Victorian sterling silver locket pendant.
It is a heavy little locket, it features a raised design to the front with the date 1871 and this has a laurel wreath surrounding it which is tied by a bow.
It has an integral bale and is an oval shape with a smooth edge and engraved back.
It is Unmarked, tests as sterling silver.
It is fairly deep inside and has the original glazed compartment to one side, this would fit a photo or a tiny keepsake.
It was probably a commemorative piece.
Condition:
Good used condition overall, some age commensurate wear and signs of use, surface wear and minor scratches.
Approx measurements:
0.85" width
1.35" height including the bale.
