A stunning antique Victorian sterling silver locket pendant.
A large sized oval locket with a fancy lobed and beaded rim and central engraving of tiny forget me not flowers.
It has a large integral bale, perfect for adding to a long antique chain or a choker style necklace.
The forget me not flower was a well loved symbol in Victorian sentiment jewellery and was found in both mourning and keepsake pieces.
It has a smooth polished back, and is Unmarked, tests as sterling silver.
It has glazed covers to each side inside with an old photograph either side.
This is a gorgeous Victorian locket of a good size.
Condition:
Good used condition overall, some age commensurate wear and signs of use, surface wear and scratches, it has a few small dings to the reverse.
Approx measurements:
1.25" width
2.25" height including the bale.
