A gorgeous pair of antique Victorian silver acorn earrings.

They are circular shaped earrings with a beaded outer border and an oak leaf and acorn to the centre.

Acorns were a very popular motif in Victorian jewellery and are highly sought after today, they represented amongst other things; Prosperity, Growth, strength and potential.

The idea that the mighty oaks standing proud in the forest all began with a single acorn, it provides the wearer with hope and strength for achieving big things or being prosperous.

The earrings have silver plated ear wire fittings.

They are made from sterling silver and have an open back

Marks and era:
Victorian era c1880s, electronically test as sterling silver

Condition:
Good used condition overall, some surface wear and patina commensurate with age, ear wire fittings are silver plated with wear and are slightly out of shape, these are easily replaced.
