A beautiful vintage Art Deco 9ct gold and Red paste heart locket.
This is such a stunning piece, it is a heart shaped locket with a 9ct gold front and back with a chased and engraved design.
To the front there is a red glass heart made to resemble Carnelian stone and this is further set with a gold shield shaped cartouche, this has not been monogrammed so could be personalised if desired if desired.
It has a pretty faceted jump ring bale so is ready to be hung from your favourite antique chain.
Locket is unmarked, tests as 9ct front and back, base metal interior, gold has rosey tones.
It currently holds two old photographs, it does not have glazed panels.
It is a nice chunky little locket, very well made and would make a lovely gift for someone special.
Condition:
Good used condition overall with signs of age and use, some very light surface scratches.
Approx measurements:
1.25" length with bale
