Victorian Bohemian Garnet paste, Floral spray brooch

A beautiful antique, Victorian era Bohemian garnet paste brooch.

The Victorians could do amazing things with glass and this includes the beauty of paste jewellery from the era, this brooch is crafted in rich red paste closely resembling the popular Bohemian Garnets used in Victorian jewellery.

The brooch is designed as a floral spray with two flowers of different sizes and paste set leaves.

It is set into a gilt metal mount and has an old C type clasp and pin fastener with a safety chain pin.

A very pretty brooch.

Mid Victorian era, c1870s.

Condition
Good used condition overall, light surface wear commensurate with age, some surface scratches and nibbles to the glass stones, wear to the gilding.
