I love cameos with rare and interesting subject matters and this one is no exception.
It has been carved to depict a garden scene with children playing and a lady collecting water, a very finely carved cameo.
It is set into a large, smooth polished, 9ct yellow gold mount with a fancy integral bale.
It is a large sized pendant perfect for hanging from your favourite antique chain.
The pendant is carved from bullmouth shell which is one of the most popular choices in Victorian cameos.
The shell is indistinctly marked on the reverse but this is too hard to read.
Unmarked, tests as 9ct gold, c1900.
Condition:
Very good used condition overall, light surface wear, commensurate with age, some light surface marks to the reverse

2.80" length
1.75" width
Weighs approx 13.29 grams
