Vintage BP Shell 9ct gold and Diamond stud brooch, lapel pin

A wonderful vintage piece is this 9ct gold and Diamond BP Shell stud or badge.

It is made from rich bloomed 9ct yellow gold and is a lovely solid, well made piece indeed.

Created as a long service award with varying numbers of diamonds across the top corresponding to different years of service.

Not only is this a wonderful piece of vintage jewellery it is also steeped in history, hailing from the mid 1960s it is a commemorative piece and an incredible piece for the collector.

It is modelled as a small gold shell with textured detailing, there is a smooth BP in text in light relief and a single bezel set brilliant cut diamond to the top.

It has a screw back fitting and can be attached to a collar, buttonhole or lapel but could also be utilised as a pendant, brooch, hair accessory or hat ornament with a slight tweak or two.

It comes in the original card and velvet presentation box.

Good used condition overall, light surface wear, commensurate with age., very well kept.
