A rare vintage sterling silver watch fob pendant.

Watch fobs were traditionally attached to Albert chains and were used as commemorative pieces, awards and also produced as medals.

This is a rare vintage fob, very well designed on each side with repousse detailing, one side features a classical figure holding out a laurel wreath crown against a sunset and the other side features two swimmers, one being supported by the other.

The medal or fob was given as an award of Merit to G F Davies from the Royal Lifesaving Society in 1937.

It is fully hallmarked for sterling silver, Birmingham assay office, 1937, maker JA Wylie and Co.

A lovely unusual piece perfect as a pendant or watch fob or to team with a larger collection, it is a heavy piece.

Condition:
Good used condition overall, some surface wear commensurate with age, aged patina overall.

Total weight 12.41 grams.

Approx measurements:
1.5" fob length with bale
1.22" fob width
